Today was my great aunt Bonnie's funeral. It was the first funeral I've ever been to. I gotta say, it was an experiance I won't ever forget. I had only met Bonnie once at the family Christmas party a few years ago. Going to her funeral was sad for me because I hardly knew her. I've never really put a whole lot of thought into meeting all of my relatives, but after today I realized that I really want to stay close to my family. One of the people who spoke at the ceremony (don't ask who it was, I don't remember very many of the people I was introduced to already) said that the family has started to drift apart and that needs to change. I think he was specifically referring to Bonnie's kids, but it would be nice to get to know every one. Now that I'm older I can actually hold a conversation with the older people in my family. I think from now on I'm going to keep in touch with every one as best I can.
That being said, I have another story for you.
I came home and saw Smory and decided that she really needed a bath. She had dandruff really bad and she was shedding. I think we need to shave her too, but I'm pretty sure she'd hate us forever if we did that. So I decided to give her a bath....
Hahaha. She was hissing and growling when I tried to dry her off, but in the bathtub she was doing alright. Aside from slipping around on the floor, she didn't seem to mind when I poured the bucket of water on her back lol. I was going to shampoo her but I decided that wouldn't be the best idea because she was starting to try and run away. Rather than risking her walking around the apartment with shampoo all over her I just got her nice and rinsed out. I bet it felt pretty good. I can't imagine how hot she must get with all that fur during the summer.
So that's my adventure so far today. I have to go pick up Terra in about an hour... or maybe I'll make Dad go get her and I'll clean the kitchen while he's gone. That sounds like a good plan.
...uh The End!

I agree Erica. Family is so important. I am so glad you have a blog so I can see what's going on with you. Since we moved down here I felt like I never really got to know my two cousins. Now we can catch up. I'm glad you went to the funeral. I didn't know Bonnie well either, but I wish I could have gone. Mostly for Grandma. I bet she was so glad you were there.
Even though it was a very short visit, I was so glad you were there at the funeral. You looked so beautiful! I wished that we had more time to play. That was a very interesting funeral, unlike anything I had been to before. They always make you realize what's important in life and how you need to do better. So starting today....
