4th of July

This fourth of July was the best I can ever remember.
It started out on the third, actually. As soon as I got home from work and errands that night, I hung out with Sean, Jed, and Sammy. They were playing video games and I was doing homework, but it was still a fun night. Jed left around midnight, and Sammy passed out on the couch. Sean went to bed around 1230 or 1. I actually stayed up all night watching old micky mouse cartoons. I forgot how much I love chip and dale. :)
Then, around 5 am on the 4th, I got up and ready to go to the parade. I met Terra and Dad outside of Starbucks. To be honest, the only good part about the parade was that I was with Dad and Terra. There were these ladies sitting next to/behind us who kept reaching in front of us to catch tshirts, candy, necklaces, etc. It was really pissing of Terra and I. We would have gotten tshirts if they weren't so rude.
So then I came home and attempted to wake up Sean. This is about 1030am or so. He slept until noon. I was just up playing with my hair and watching cartoons while he slept.
So after he woke up we got ready and went over to Chris and Mandy's house. Chris is Sean's half brother, and Mandy is Chris's wife. They have 3 kids: Kirsten (age 5), Chris Jr - other wise known as Bubba or Little Man (age 2), and Caitlyn - other wise known as caity, caycay, or "the baby" (age ..... very young haha)
They were having an awesome party. Here's a list of people who came by:
Cindy, Skip, Sammy, Jed, Sean, Me, David, Jeffrey, A few neighbors who I dont know....
well that's it, I think.
Anyway. I mostly played with the kids while I was there. Little caity is the cutest, happiest baby I've ever met..EVER. Mandy was busy with getting food ready, so I volunteered to play with the baby. Caity absolutely loves jewelry. She was tugging on my necklace and bracelet the whole time.
Then I was playing with Little Man for a while too. He is so scared of fireworks. :( Poor little guy. I was doing my best to keep him calm while the older kids (and most of the adults) were playing with poppers. Mandy and I tried to get him to throw one so he could see that they're not scary...The closest we got was getting him to come outside and sit on my lap with my hands over his ears while Mandy threw the poppers. I'm pretty sure his eyes were closed, though.
Kirsten was playing with me during the later evening, after her friends had to go home. We went outside and watched fireworks from her driveway. I let her sit on my shoulders (which I'm regretting today. haha yay soreness) to see the big ones from Sugarhouse Park. Meanwhile, Sean and Chris were trying to see them from the roof....and, unfortunately, Chris fell off the roof. We're pretty sure nothing was broken, but he had some bad scrapes and bruises. His leg and ankle were pretty swollen too. :( [Sorry Chris!! I hope you're doing better]. So long story short, even though we didn't go to the park to see fireworks, this was BY FAR the best fourth of july EVER. I got to spend the whole day with people I love. My dad and sister in the morning, and Sean's family in the afternoon, evening, and night time. Woohoo!!! Yay holidays.
